Lightly age toned with wear and small closed tears in the folds. Faint fold line visible from where this copy was folded horizontally a third time. Pages are clean, and colours are bright.
The artists featured in this issue are abstract painter Roger Chastel and poet Paul Eluard. The pair debuted their new book, "Le Bestiaire," at Galerie Maeght in February of 1949.
From 1946 to 1982, Aime Maeght published Derriere Le Miroir (DLM), a French art magazine featuring artists whose work was shown at Galerie Maeght, as well as publishing essays and poems by various authors. DLM is well known for its high quality original lithographs. Very good. Item #67947
