Contains 130 6x4 cm and 19 11x9 cm (roughly) b/w photographs documenting a trip to Europe apparently leaving from Pennsylvania and culminating at Gibraltar before returning to North America. A single hand throughout has labeled most of the photographs. Cities visited include Vienna, Venice, Rome, Napoli, and Genoa, amongst others. The content of the photos varies but the majority are of people in city settings or crew on the various ships taken during the trip. The photographs are in generally very good condition with a few faded fair ones. No indication as to who the photographer was. Protective tissue inserted between pages to halt image transfer (some has already occurred). A fascinating fined showing the public lives of people in Europe at the turn of the twentieth century.
