Recased. Six compartment spine with five raised ribs. Short title, author and elaborate horseshoe ornaments stamped in gilt on the spine. Single line border and horseshoe ornaments stamped on the front and back boards. Gilt dentelle pattern along the inside edge of the boards. Gilt head. Book plate from Charles Cobb Walker on front pastedown. Blind stamp from the New England Conservatory of Music Library on the title page. Text block slightly age toned, but is otherwise clean, unmarked, and square with a strong binding. Creasing along the hinges of the boards with a small crack in the front hinge by the crown. Spine has darkened and has light wear to the tail and crown. Very good condition overall. Very good. Item #67395
