Six compartment spine with five raised ribs. Short title, author and elaborate horseshoe ornaments stamped in gilt on the spine. Single line border and horseshoe ornaments stamped on the front and back boards. Gilt dentelle pattern along the inside edge of the boards. Gilt head. Book plate from Charles Cobb Walker on front pastedown. Blind stamp from the New England Conservatory of Music Library on the title page. Text block slightly age toned, but is otherwise clean, unmarked, and square with a strong binding. Light creasing along the hinges of the boards with a little wear at the crown. Spine darkened.
