Guide to the Genuine & Original Signatures of Salvador Dali Illuminated with 8 Calligraphic Drawings in Phosphorescent Colours.

Printed in Austria. Collectors Club. 1984. First edition. Faux leather over boards. Hardcover faux leather (blue) over boards. Slim 8vo. Unpaginated. Illustrated with a b/w plate photograph frontispiece of Dali as a child, 3 phosphorescent line drawings on blue paper, and 623 b/w plate reproductions of Dali's signatures. Note: there appears to be a printer's error in this copy as signatures 622-673 are missing. The phosphorescent drawings are printed on blue paper that make up the first and last leaf of an 8 leaf quire. The title states that there are 8 phosphorescent drawings, but it appears that only half of those were actually printed, and an entire quire containing two of them are missing. No evidence of  tampering - no leaf stubs or disturbed glue. Alternate title (Les 678 Tres Riches Signatures de Salvador Dali Marques des Pubol) stamped in gilt on the front board with tipped in coat of arms. Short title and author stamped in gilt on spine. One of Dali's signatures stamped in gilt on the back board. Decorative endpapers covered in $ signs. Text in French and German. Text block is clean, unmarked, and strongly bound. Slight flair to the top board, but otherwise the boards and spine are clean and unmarked. Despite the missing quire, this book is in about fine condition; it is in the same state as when it came from the printer.. About fine. Item #67355
