Title, volume number, edition, author, publisher and rulings stamped in gilt on the spines. Two blind tooled borders on the front and back boards. Black endpapers. Inscribed by previous owner at the top right corner of each front flyleaf. General condition of the text blocks: light foxing along the top edge, minor age toning throughout, clean unmarked pages, and strong bindings. General condition of the boards and spines: slight shelf wear to the edges, spine, and hinges; and lightly bumped/frayed corners. Of note is volume II which has been sunned on the spine and front board, giving it a lighter appearance than its siblings. Overall a bright and handsome collection in good condition. Good.
