Hardcover cloth (orange) over boards with mostly complete d/j. 4to. xvi, [1], 304 pp. Illustrated with 304 full page b/w photogravure plates. Part 4 of the Orbis Terrarum series. Original publisher's orange cloth binding. Short title and cross ornament stamped in gilt on front board. Short title and two star ornaments stamped in gilt on spine. The text block is clean and unmarked except for a small water stain to the edges of pages 287-304 with a corresponding wave. No damage to any of the photographs. Binding is strong and square. The spine and boards are mildly worn along the edges. Water stain on the spine and the lower parts of the boards. The dustjacket (photographic paper) is mostly intact but is torn along the front and back flap hinges, and is missing chips from the spine and edges. Wrapped in protective mylar to prevent further damage. It is very rare to find a dustjacket for this book, let along one that is mostly complete. As described. / As described. Item #67280
