[10], 220 pp. Illustrated with 5 full-page b/w engraved plates showing London street views in 1750, and hundreds of b/w engraved plates of shop signboards. One of a limited print run of 250 copies on large paper and bound in half-morocco. Dated ownership signature on the front flyleaf from Sir Russell Flint (Sept. 21, 1951). Decorative red topstain. Gilt title and author stamped on spine. Illustration of a tradesperson(?) stamped on spine in black. Double line blind rulings on the front and back boards. Text block is clean, unmarked, and square with a strong binding. The spine and boards are rubbed and worn. Some chipping in the leather along the hinges and edges. Bumped and frayed corners. Spine sunned. Illustration on the spine is faded. Small stains on the front and back boards. Good condition overall. Good. Item #67267
