Thick 4to. xxvi, 363 pp. Illustrated with 21 full colour engraved plates (including the frontispiece), and 47 b/w engraved plates. Gilt title, floral ornaments, and double rule border stamped on the front board and spine. Full colour oval illustration of men fording cattle across a river pasted on the front board. Gilt head. Deckled edges. Inscription on the front paste down mostly obliterated. Three instances of sticker residue in the prelims. Text block is slightly browned but is otherwise bright, clean, unmarked, and square with a strong binding. The spine is creased, with an small enclosed tear at the base. Wear along the hinges and edges. Slight rubbing marks on the oval illustration. Frayed and bumped corners. Overall a very good copy. Very good. Item #67259
