Hardcover cloth (blue) over boards. 4to. viii, 192 pp. Illustrated with a full colour frontispiece lithograph drawing of a caribou, 72 full page b/w plate photographs, 39 b/w in text drawings, and 2 b/w engraved maps (one fold-out). Gilt title on spine and front board. Blind stamped ornament of two male caribou fighting on the front board, blind stamped printer's device on the back board. Head and foot darkened. Very minor foxing throughout. Text block is generally clean, unmarked, and square with a strong binding. The boards and spine are lightly rubbed, worn along the edges/head/hinges, and slightly bumped on the corners. Small crease in the top right corner of the front board.
