Famiani Stradae Romani e Societate Iesu De bello Belgico decas secunda ab initio praefecturae Alexandri Farnesii Parmae Placentiaeque ducis III an MDLXXVIII usque ad an. MDXC.

Printed in the Holy Roman Empire. Heredes Francisci Corbelletti. 1648. Second edition. Leather over boards. Hardcover full leather over boards.  32mo. [Engraved title page]+[10]+642+[82]+[11 engraved portraits] pp. Illustrated in b/w with 11 engraved portraits of prominent figures involved in the Dutch war, and an engraved title page. Title  and ornaments stamped in gilt on spine. Single line border stamped in gilt on front and back boards. Decorative speckle on all text block edges. Inscriptions on the front paste down, the bottom of the engraved title page, and at the top of the title page. The text block is clean and has surprisingly little browning/foxing (edges have darkened however). The index has been trimmed a little too close, and some text along the head and foredge has been lost; the main text is undamaged. The binding on the text block is good, but the board hinges are weak, cracked, and coming apart. Exercise care when handling. The gilt decorations on the spine and boards are mostly worn off. The boards and spine are flaking, very worn, and have exposed corners/edges. A section of the leather on the front board by the lower fore edge corner is missing. As described. Item #67133
