Compartments 2, 3 and 6 have black labels with title, volume, and author's name in gilt; compartments 1,4, and 5 have gilt stamped thistle ornaments. Ownership bookplate on front pastedown. Text blocks are clean and bright with slightly browned front and back matters. Bindings are strong and square. Boards show moderate shelfwear to the edges and light rubbing marks. All edges darkened.
