Gilt title (and English title "Japanese Fishes") stamped on spine. Slight water damage to the head by the spine, and to the gutter of the title page and introduction. Some browning and foxing to the edges. Illustrations are pristine and bright. Shelfwear to the top and bottom of spine. Binding is strong and square. Wrapped in protective plastic. This copy includes the original publisher's restocking request slip. Overall a beautiful copy, and rare to find in North America. Very good. Item #67050
