Hardcover cloth (light blue) over boards with d/j. 8vo. 197 pp. Illustrated throughout with b/w plate photographs and a b/w photograph frontispiece. No edition marks. Translated from Russian into English by G. Hanna and D. Myshne. Ownership inscription at the top of the title page, as well as an inscription that reads: "Killed in accident USSR 3/27/68" under the author's name. Gilt and black illustration of a globe stamped on front board. Title stamped in black on spine. Text block has yellowed slightly at the edges, and has an ink stain to the top of page 197. Endpapers have browned. Binding is strong and square. Boards and spine are faded with shelfwear to the edges. Small hole at the top of the spine. Dustjacket (illustrated paper) is chipped, most notably along the head, the corners, and to the top and bottom of the spine. Crease in the spine and along the back board fore edge. Flap corners clipped. Dustjacket wrapped in protective mylar. Good. / Good. Item #67034
