A set of regulations for the Tower of London yeomen under the reign of Queen Victoria. Gilt edges. Gilt stamped title, border, royal coat of arms, and a miniature of the Tower of London on front cover. Gilt stamped border on the back cover. Inscription on the verso of the front flyleaf reads: "For the use of the Barrack Sergeant in the Tower. Not to be taken out of the Barrack Offices. Tower 7 Nov 1878." A stamp on the index page reads: "District Barracks Office *23 DEC 1920 * Chelsea Barracks, S. W." Binding is fragile with some leaves separated, but book is whole and not missing anything. Foxing throughout. Covers are worn, especially along the spine, and are moderately stained. This was a working copy that saw significant use. Very rare to find any surviving copies. As described.
