Hardcover cloth (green) over boards with end pocket. 8vo. 419 pp. Illustrated with 7 b/w plates with 1 full colour fold-out map, 1 b/w map, and 3 loose b/w maps in the pocket. Inscribed on the front flyleaf from two separate owners. Inscribed on front pastedown (R.O.M.Z. 1942). Embossed stamp on the title page reads: Royal Ontario Museum Zoology. Title and Canadian Institute emblem stamped in gold on front cover with a blind stamped border. Title and printer stamped in gold on the spine, with editor stamped in white. Text block is slightly yellowed along the edges but otherwise clean and legible. One of the pocket maps has a tiny enclosed tear, but otherwise all maps are whole and undamaged/repaired. Noticeable shelfwear on foot. Spine is sunned, worn from use, and has a small stain. Binding strong. Very good. Item #66856
