Vol 1: xlviii+576 pp; Vol 2: viii+616 pp; Vol 3: xxx+477 pp. Illustrated with 22 b/w folding plates and maps. Covers are gold tooled, and the foredges are all marbled, as well as the endpapers.  All three volumes show signs of light foxing throughout the text. Volumes one and two are inscribed on the upper right corner of their title pages. There is shelf wear on all three volumes, but nothing significant. Volume one has two small holes in the leather. All volumes are strongly bound and square. Fine. Item #66717
