The map measures approx. 18" x 13" inches, including margins, and has a centrefold. Details are hand-coloured. Main map and three insets comprising Denmark (enlarged), the Faroe Islands and Iceland. Originally made by Delamarche in 1838, the map was included in the 1850 atlas. Tiny corner chip to top margin. Delamarche was a famous 19th century French cartographer and navy engineer.
