Full sheet with double map measures approx. 13" x 18" inches, including margins, and has a centrefold. Details are hand-coloured. First map depicts Palestine in earliest times; the second depicts Palestine up to the Christian era. Originally made by Delamarche in 1848, it was part of the compilation for the Atlas of 1850. Delamarche was a famous 19th century French cartographer and naval engineer. Text in French. Near Fine. Item #26711
